Honda HR-V Overview
The HR-V sits between the BR-W and the CR-V in the Indian lineup. Moreover, the car will basically go against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Nissan Kicks and the Renault Captur. However, its premium pricing range will put it in the league of Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos and MG Hector as well.
This car is based on the same platform as the current-generation Honda City sedan and the Jazz. While the City has a wheelbase of 2600mm, the Jazz has a 2510mm wheelbase.
This car is definitely going to become one of the trend in the Indian Markets. Let’s know more.
2019 Honda HR-V Specs and Configurations
The HR-V is expected to be available in petrol and diesel engine both. The reports have also suggested that it is likely to get City’s 1.5 Litre petrol engine and not Civic’s 1.8 Litre diesel engine. The engine will be BS-6 compliant and will produce over 119 BHP and 145 Nm of peak torque(For this kinda car, it’s pretty cool). There are fewer chances of a BS-6 compliant diesel engine to be available at the time of launch, but if it comes, it is likely to get the 1.5 Litre oil-burner from Honda City, again. The petrol engine will come mated to a 5-speed MT and a CVT gearbox.
Honda HR-V Exterior Design
You can expect the typical chrome plated Honda Grille with sleek full LED headlamps in the HR-V, It will get a slanting bonnet and a falling roofline, not making it a traditional SUV though.
Honda HR-V Interior Design
We expect a large panoramic sunroof, leather seat covers, automatic climate, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, Multi-angle rearview camera, heated seats and 60:40 split rear folding seats to come in the HR-V. The safety kit includes dual airbags, ABS with EBD< rear parking sensors and high speed alert as standard fitments. The top-spec variant could get a rear camera and hill assist control, among some. Honda HR-V Launch Date in India
The Honda HR-V is going to launch in India in December 2019.
