MG ZS EV Overview
The ZS EV was unveiled in India on 5th December 2019. However, it is the second car from MG Motors in India after the MG Hectors. Moreover, this car will be brought in India as a CKD (completely knocked down) unit and would definitely outperform its competitors.
MG ZS EV Design
The MG ZS EV is a gorgeous looking car which does not speak its electric credentials at all. The ZS EV is a traditional MG model with elegant proportions. The car sports a crossover-ish design and gets bold diamond finished grille upfront, a curved roofline and a swooping bonnet.
Variants and Features
The booking amount for the MG ZS EV has been set to Rs. 50,000. This car is going to be available in two variants-
Every car has an entry level variant. In MG, it is going to be Excite! The Excite will get features like-

MG ZS EV Battery
The ZS EV being powered by a synchronous motor produces a whopping 141 bhp and 353 Nm of torque. Moreover, the car gets a battery pack that can travel up to a range of 300km on a single charge. The car comes with a 44.5 kWh battery pack and the lithium-ion unit that can be easily charged up to 79 per cent in 40 minutes and that too with a 50 kW DC charger. However, it will take up to seven hours if you charge it with a standard 7 kW charger.
The company will also set-up the country’s first 50 kW DC fast-charging stations across different cities to create a better infrastructure for the Electric Vehicles in India. For this, MG has collaborated with Fortum India to install the charging network and will first set-up the same at its showrooms located in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru.

The MG ZS EV is expected to be priced around Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

MG Motors unveiled the ZS EV in India on December 5 and the bookings will start from December 21 2020.
